Sandals Workshop

Hello!

Today I attended a Sandals Workshop. I know what you all are thinking, "Ew Sandals, really?" Well, I am not going to lie, I was surprisingly impressed! I used to have the mentality of Sandals being a cheap, all inclusive, cheesy getaway. But my thoughts may have changed today. While I would not send all my clients there by any means, I can definitely see young honeymooners vacationing to a Sandals.

Sandals is an adults only resort that is geared towards couples. Sandals also owns Beaches, which is for families, but has all the same activities and all inclusive benefits. All properties are located in the Caribbean, they have 7 in Jamaica, 3 in St. Lucia, 2 in the Bahamas (one of which used to be the Four Seasons), and 1 in Antigua.

What is really cool about having different Sandals properties around you, is that you can stay at one and play at all (only if they are in proximity to each other, for example in St. Lucia, you stay at one, and can eat, beach, at the other 2 properties).

Now, as for rooms, I would not want to put anyone in the lowest room category. You get what you pay for.  I personally would like to be in the Concierge Room if they have it available at the property. You get your own butler, and in some cases 24 hour room service, we all know how important that is! You may say, I don't need a butler, but quite frankly, it's nice to be greeted at the hotel with a quick check-in. It is also nice when you forgot your Fifty Shades of Grey in the room and need him to go get it for you while you are on the beach or pool. These butlers are trained to be of great service to you, and they are definitely someone you would not want to leave behind!

So what's included? Well everything! Most properties include green fees to the golf courses, all water sports (including Scuba Diving and motorized water sports), food, drinks, service, tips, gratuities (except for the Butler, it is at your discretion on how much you want to tip him), taxes, and shared airport transfers.

Overall, yes, Sandals is not meant for everyone, but there are definitely wonderful and unique properties in their own way. Again, I am not afraid to sell it any longer, so that means you should not be scared of going. But do make sure that you are booked in the right category room and property that fits you best!

Stay tuned for my next write up from my travels earlier this month to Kiawah Island and Sea Island with my pops! Such a great golf trip!!!
